Love and Grasshoppers
I went to see Mindy Kaling’s new movie with my parents the other night, and on the way back, we were blasting Fleetwood mac and my parents were reminiscing about earlier times with their friends. the topic of fast food came up when i asked my mom if she had ever eaten at Wendy’s. she said yes, and that it was her fav fast food place when she was younger. she and my dad then started telling me a story about a time when they went out with friends and got Wendy’s after, and how in the morning there was ketchup plastered on the interior of the car. in that moment, i could feel the amount of love between them filling the car and it was really heartwarming. i know my parents love each other, but in that moment i felt the intensity of it. 2 people, best friends, reminiscing on the good old days. i cannot wait to be able to share a connection so deep and meaningful with someone, like the one my parents share. how lucky are we to get to experience something so raw and meaningful? i can’t imagin...
